In my opinion, if someone has something good to teach, then by all means you should make an effort to learn regardless of pictures and certifications. Was Yim Wing Chun certified by Ng Mui to teach? Did they have portraits together? There was never anything like that until this era. The significance of any picture of a student with his instructor is in fact to give honor to the instructor, and is a treasured possesion of the student. It is not to show the progress of a student. This is the kind of thinking that disappoints, and frustrates me as a Wing Chun practitioner. Respect is key in any martial art. What you have shown to all is an embarrasment not just to yourself but to all who have ever learned from this great man. It shows the amount of disrespect that some are capable of. Does your Sifu David Meadows know that you speak to his Sifu in this manner? I'm sure he would be angry also.
